HA1 Task 3 – Graphic Types

Pixel Art:
Pixel art is a form of digital art which is created by using a software. This software is used to
edited images and make them in to a pixel image this image below shows what pixel art looks
like.

Concept Art:
Concept art is a form of illustration used to convey an idea for use in (but not limited to) films,
video games, animation, or comic books before it is put into the final product. Concept art is also
referred to as visual development and/or concept design. This term can also be applied to retail,
set, fashion, architectural and industrial design.

This image below is a character from the game Bioshock 2, This image shows a concept art
of a character and what he looks like.














Texture Art:
In the visual arts, texture is the perceived surface quality of a work of art. It is an element of two
dimensional and three-dimensional designs and is distinguished by its perceived visual and
physical properties. Use of texture, along with other elements of design, can convey a variety of
messages and emotions.

Below Is a Image from a game called Sleeping Dogs, this image shows what the texture looks
like in game, and in my own opinion I think they look really nice and realistic 









Background Graphics:
The area of a display screen not covered by characters and graphics. The background is like a canvas on top
of which characters and graphics are placed. Some monitors allow you to control the colour or shading of the
background.

Print Media Art:
Print media art is art which is not in the game it's self. You can see the print media art around
stores where you buy the game and also in many other stores. Print media art comes in many
different types. When you buy a game you have props you can buy like in minecraft you can buy
a pone sword.
